75% of space at professional cleaning and hygiene trade fair already booked, with almost 150 companies and brands expected to exhibit.
Biennial show, supported by trade associations ASFEL and AEFIMIL, set to return to previous venue and take place in Hall 3 at IFEMA Madrid.
Valencia, 29th January 2025.- Hygienalia 2025 is in top gear. Spain’s foremost showcase for the professional cleaning and hygiene sector has set the dates for its next edition and is slated to take place from 4th to 6th November, at Ifema Madrid again. The move means that the fair, organised by Feria Valencia, is returning to where it was last staged, very successfully: Hall 3 of the Madrid exhibition centre.
The outlook indicates this year’s event will in fact be even better. The fair’s Organising Committee met at Feria Valencia on 21st January to assess the main commercial approaches and strategies for this next edition and it emerged that the space set aside for Hygienalia 2025 is being booked up quite fast. In fact, as the event’s director Esther Cano has explained, the fair is already almost 75% full, with ten months still to go to opening day, meaning it is estimated the showcase will comprise some 150 Spanish and international companies and brands.
The fair will therefore be bolstering the growth trend that was evident at its last edition two years ago, when the figures after the show closed revealed a total of 6415 professionals had visited Hygienalia 2023, 6.7% up on the previous edition. The increase in visitor numbers came in addition to another positive figure: 22% more exhibitors, which took the number of direct exhibitors to 134.
The Organising Committee also revealed some of the measures the fair is considering taking to motivate new companies to exhibit at Hygienalia, especially more go-ahead, innovative businesses, and stressed its own commitment to boosting Hygienalia’s international profile and the number of high-level buyers who visit from markets that are priority targets for Spain’s cleaning and hygiene industry.
It is worth remembering in this regard that Hygienalia covers a broad spectrum of the industry and is a meeting point for the various types of business that comprise Spain’s professional cleaning and hygiene sector. Proof of this is that the fair is supported by cleaning products trade association ASFEL and the Asociación Española de Fabricantes e Importadores de Maquinaria Industrial de Limpieza (AEFIMIL, Spanish Association of Manufacturers and Importers of Industrial Cleaning Machinery), whose leaders are part of the Committee – Juan Carlos Cebriá (ASFEL) as Chairman and Antonio Albesa (AEFEMIL) as a member. Also supporting Hygienalia are multi-sector trade association ARVET and organisations such as ICEX e IVACE + i Internacional.
